The procurement-grade credentials that get us through Tier 1, housing association, and public-sector prequalification - verified and current.
For procurement teams, Tier 1 contractors, and housing associations, accreditation is the first filter. SSG Scaffolding holds a procurement stack built specifically to clear supply-chain prequalification: the scaffolding industry’s own NASC accreditation, alongside the cross-sector compliance schemes major clients require. Each is explained below, with what it means and why it matters.

The National Access and Scaffolding Confederation is the scaffolding industry’s primary accreditation. NASC membership confirms that a scaffolding contractor’s systems, competence, safety standards, and operating practices meet the confederation’s audited requirements. For buyers, NASC is the credential they scan for first, because it is scaffolding-specific rather than general - it tells them the contractor is held to the industry’s own standard, not just a generic safety scheme.

CHAS (the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) is one of the UK’s leading supply-chain compliance schemes. CHAS Elite is its enhanced tier, covering health and safety alongside wider compliance areas including environmental, quality, and equality assessment. CHAS Elite satisfies the SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) requirement that most Tier 1 contractors and public-sector frameworks set as a baseline.

Constructionline is the UK’s largest procurement and supply-chain management register. Gold membership is the verified tier - it confirms that financial standing, insurance, health and safety, environmental, quality, and equality credentials have all been assessed and verified, not merely declared. Constructionline Gold is a common prequalification requirement for public-sector and major framework work.

SafeContractor is a widely recognised SSIP-accredited health and safety assessment scheme. It provides independent verification that a contractor’s health and safety policies, procedures, and competence meet the required standard, and is accepted across a broad range of client procurement systems.
Where retrofit programmes require them, PAS 2030:2023 and TrustMark credentials are held group-wide via Snug Services Group. SSG Scaffolding delivers the compliant scaffolding and access element within those wider retrofit frameworks.
SSG Scaffolding holds public liability and employer’s liability insurance at £10M each. Certificates are available on request for prequalification.
